- By weeks four to six: Reassess running, stairs, squatting, and other functional goals.
- At six to eight weeks: Determine whether the patient demonstrates meaningful improvement in pain and function.
Do not guarantee a specific result or timeline. PFPS has multiple contributing factors, and adherence, training load, sleep, stress, biomechanics, and coexisting conditions can influence recovery.
